WCL Against Bullying

Mission Statement:
We are part of the Women of Color Leadership Seminar at Ánimo Watts College Preparatory Academy. Our mission, along with Girls Build LA’s help, is to make our schools and communities better by putting a halt to bullying.

Project Need
Our team will be working on a series of interventions including a community carnival and school documentary that focus on undercovering the prevalence of bullying, as well as possible solution. Our documentary will feature students and staff from our school that have been impacting by bullying, including not only the victim, but also the perpetrator. We want to interview these individuals so that we can put a face on bullying; we want to broadcast this epidemic and show how it affects us as we grow and mature. We want more people to take a stand against bullying and fight it head on so that we can eventually eradicate this problem. We are hoping to decrease the amount of bullying throughout all schools and communities.
